A little about me….

I’m a designer and stylist based out of Manhattan. I grew-up in the small town of Essex, CT, which gave me a love for historic architecture and coastal New England. Upon completing my studies at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) I founded my sustainable clothing line, CAIT SHEA. The minimalist line featured classic tailoring and an emphasis on natural fibers and dyes. CAIT SHEA grew into a boutique and coffee shop that focused on conscious living, highlighting hand-made goods by designers and artisans from Connecticut and beyond. Over time, I grew more fascinated with the interiors and gathering spaces that I created than I did the clothing designs, and decided to shift my focus from fashion to interiors.

I earned my Interior Design Certificate through RISD Continuing Education, and began my first full renovation project in 2020.

My interiors are inviting and effortless, with an organic warmth. I enjoy blending antiques with modern silhouettes to create spaces that are comfortable and timeless. With my background in tailoring, I love to obsess over the details. As with my clothing line, sustainability is at the core of my design ethos - careful consideration is given to every material selected, with an emphasis on locally sourced and hand-made items.
